Google Claims Its Artificial Intelligence Predicts Heart Attacks

Google researchers claim they can use artificial intelligence to predict the risk of heart attack or stroke. The way it works is through looking at the blood vessels in a person's retina.  Researchers say they were able to predict which patients would have a heart episode in the next five years with 70% accuracy. That's as accurate as more invasive measures that draw blood.

The results are published in the journal "Nature Biomedical Engineering."
