It’s been 25 years since the sitcom Seinfeld brought the horrors of double-dipping into the public spotlight—“That's like putting your whole mouth right in the dip!”—and yet the problem has never been fully solved. Double-dipping still runs rampant and can be especially problematic during one of the biggest dip events of the year: the Super Bowl.
Chicken giant Tyson—producer of wings and other dippable products—understands these concerns and, in the lead up to the big game, has offered its solution: the Tyson Chicken Wing-Mate Wristband—a wristwatch-like accessory with a tiny personal dip-holding compartment.
The Wing-Mate’s container is the size and shape of one of the single-serving tubs of McDonald’s barbecue sauce, and the idea is to fill it up and snap it open and closed as needed. That way you can dip and dip as much as you like in your own personal sauce without offending anyone else.
But if you want to get your hands one of these, you’ll have to win it. The Wing-Mate isn’t being sold, but Tyson is giving them away on Facebook. Check out their page for the official rules and information. “Comment below to enter by telling us your favorite dipping sauce for a chance to win your very own Tyson Chicken Wing-Mate Wristband,” the official Facebook post says. They’re giving 300 away and winners are selected at random, so good luck and may the best dipper win.
