What's The Latest From Robert Plant On A Zeppelin Reunion?

Robert Plant Is Shooting Down Any Talk Of A Led Zeppelin Reunion   (What a bummer, Robert!)

Led Zeppelin is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year and despite the hopes of many fans that the group could reunite, frontman Robert Plant recently told the Press Association, “they could only reunite in a chip shop in Camden Town.”

After being asked whether the group could be coerced into headlining Glastonbury, Plant said “You either want to do something or you don’t – or you can or you can’t.”

(Translation: Plant obviously does not want to do this but is being somewhat cryptic in addressing direct questions. But, to be fair---he has the hardest job in a reunion scenario. It's not exactly easy to sing Zeppelin songs the same way he could when he was a much younger man..)

Led Zeppelin disbanded in 1980 and the last time they reunited was 2007.

The band did announce a reissue of their 1976 soundtrack “The Song Remains The Same.” That is due out September 7th.

At least the remaining members are working together on a different project.  Plant, Page and bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones are also working together on a new book, titled Led Zeppelin By Led Zeppelin. It is being billed as “the first and only official illustrated book to be produced in collaboration with the members of the band.”
