The “snowflake generation” has claimed another victim. Bath University, in Somerset, England, recently held an “equality and diversity network meeting” where it was decided that the phrase “as you know” would be outlawed from classrooms. The reason being that “as you know” makes those students that “didn’t know” feel “inadequate and stupid.”
Professors at a top British university have been urged to stop using that common phrase while speaking to their students during lectures and classes. The move has sparked outrage across the globe as many feel this is a ridiculous move by a place of higher learning. Some have said that this is just another example of society catering to the "snowflake generation."
I'm no college professor, but...the students could always learn the stuff and remedy that situation...
