We've all seen Facebook contest scams. This time around, it affected a local auto repair shop...Jack's Brake & Alignment. Apparently, someone created a fake Facebook account using the name "Jack's Break & Alignment" and tried to get customers to enter a contest where they had to give out their credit card information to enter! Thankfully, an employee of Jack's saw the post...and the business got ahold of every account seen interacting with the fake account.
Gotta be honest, the first tip off that the contest was a scam should have been when they asked for the participants' credit card information! C'mon...why would they need your credit card information when you win a contest?!?!
