Wendy's Is Testing New AI Chat Bots To Take Drive-Thru Orders

Wendy’s is testing out a new AI Chatbot named "Fresh AI" in Columbus, Ohio to take drive-thru orders and other requests and communications in some of the latest AI news. According to the chain, the test concept will allow order-taking and even talking to customers and could be the start of revolutionizing the industry. Google Cloud is making the AI Chatbot and Thomas Kurian, Google Cloud’s Chief said “Generative AI is fundamentally changing how people interact with brands and this generative AI technology will set a new standard for great drive-thru experiences for the quick-service industry.” 

So far, the accuracy of the Chatbot isn’t that great – a reported 79% as of 2022, so it remains to be seen how accurate this latest version will be. Gotta wonder how many drive thru orders they'll get wrong. And, if you REALLY want to go back in time, will it be like that Stevens and Grdnic skit about the drive thru...
