Galva’s Wiley Park will once again be filled with people, food, vendors and music on June 17rd. The event will begin with a Vendor Fair from 1pm - 6pm. First Baptist Church of Galva, Delta on the Square, Burmann Concessions, and Crazy Pete’s Street Eatz will offer dinner before and during the concert while supplies last. The Concert begins at 6pm with Emily Hope followed by Stars Go Dim at 7pm. Rain location is in the Galva High School. This is a FREE concert open to everyone.
Formed in 2007 as a mainstream pop band, today Stars Go Dim is the moniker for Christian pop artist and songwriter Chris Cleveland. After years at the helm of an acclaimed independent secular band and more than a decade leading worship at Tulsa’s Asbury United Methodist Church—one of America’s largest congregations—Cleveland found success in the Christian format with his self-titled debut album. The singer has garnered three Top 5 hits and a massive No. 1 radio smash with “You Are Loved.” In addition, Stars Go Dim has toured with for KING & COUNTRY, Lauren Daigle and Phil Wickham, among others, and has been featured on the Winter Jam Tour Spectacular. Poised to release new music throughout 2018, Stars Go Dim’s latest single, “Heaven On Earth,” is available now at all digital service providers.
Emily Hope falls more in love with music each day and fully acknowledge its power to inspire, encourage, and enact change. Her music is acoustic-based and generally upbeat, with a variety of country, pop, and folk influences. She calls her genre "’happy,’ because it's true and I also am incapable of picking just one.” She was honored to be one of the opening acts for country artist Eric Paslay at the Apollo Theatre in Belvidere, IL. Emily Hope’s calling is to spread a little joy in this world that's so desperately in need of some hope. Her motto is “If I can make at least one person smile with a song of mine, then I have achieved something great.”
