Police Involved After Scarlett Johansson's 'Intense' Run-In With Paparazzi

Celebrity Sightings In Los Angeles - April 08, 2019

Scarlett Johansson had to make a trip to the police station after an intense encounter with paparazzi.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the actress sought the help of the Los Angeles Police Department involved after her appearance on Monday's episode (April 8) of Jimmy Kimmel Live. Johansson made the move for her own safety because paparazzi were "intensely following" her, an LAPD spokesperson described to the celebrity entertainment outlet.

“Last night, Scarlett Johansson was at Jimmy Kimmel. At some point in time, the paparazzi overpowered her security and for her security reasons and for her security team, they were taken to the Hollywood police station," the representative explained to ET. "At that point, she was later able to leave the station."

While no police report was taken, the rep mentions the 34-year-old — who was on set to promote her upcoming movie Avengers: Endgame with a few of the film's all-star castmates — was "just a little spooked" by the incident.

Ahead of performing a funny skit on Kimmel with co-stars Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Evans and Don Cheadle, images of Johansson arriving at the studio appeared to show the star in good spirits.

The Black Widow figure has no qualms about penalizing those who encroach upon her privacy, be it in public or private. In December 2012, Johansson's cyber stalker, Christopher Chaney, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for leaking nude photos of the entertainer online.
