Bob Dylan Kept It Casual While Accepting His Nobel Prize
Considering how long it took Bob Dylan to actually go accept his Nobel Prize, it will probably come as no surprise he didn't exactly where a tux for the occasion.
The icon popped by his meeting with Swedish Academy members wearing a leather jacket...and a hoodie. While no press was allowed in, a person at the meeting said it “went very well indeed” and described Dylan as “a very nice, kind man."
Dylan is the first songwriter to receive the Nobel Prize for literature. The Swedish Academy explained their reasons for awarding him with the honour, saying he had “created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition”.
