Alice Cooper’s home state is honoring him with his own scratch-off lottery ticket. The Arizona Lottery has announced their new Alice Cooper Scratchers, featuring the man himself printed on the ticket in trademark spooky garb.
Alice Cooper says he knows he’s made it in the industry now that he’s on a lotto ticket – you know, besides the small fact that he’s a legendary rock superstar.
“I used to say you know you’ve made it,” Cooper says, “if you’re a joke from Bob Hope on the Christmas Special (and I was)…if you were an answer on “Jeopardy”… and now being on a Lotto ticket.”
The executive director of the Arizona Lottery Gregg Edgar says that Cooper, an icon in his hometown of Arizona, seemed like a “natural fit” given his close ties to the community.
The Alice Cooper Scratchers ticket is available on August 7th, and appropriately runs through Halloween. There are six top prizes of $50,000, with second-chance prizes including Alice Cooper memorabilia, VIP tickets and access to pre-show parties.
