One video game is being singled out for getting people to “let go.”
Minecraft may encourage creative thinking. Iowa State University psychology professor Doug Gentile says students were asked to draw an alien as a creativity test, and there was something special about those drawn by "Minecraft" players.
- Gentile says those who played “Minecraft” were much more creative than others.
- Researchers also divided up the those players and found found that students who were told to be as creative as possible weren't as creative as those who received no special instruction.
