Rush is giving fans a unique look into the making of their classic 1977 album “A Farewell To Kings.”
The band has teamed up with Fantoons to release a full-length 144-page graphic novel, based on interviews with guitarist Alex Lifeson and producer Terry Brown about the writing and recording process of the record.
“The Making Of ‘A Farewell To Kings’” chronicles how the band followed up their breakthrough album “2112” with a rock epic recorded between a rural Ontario farmhouse and a studio in the Welsh countryside.
This isn’t Fantoons first collaboration with the band – they’ve produced a Rush coloring book, a puzzle, and more in the past.
“The guys were so focused on delivering concise parts and performances that I knew we were making a very special album in ‘A Farewell To Kings,’” Brown writes in the foreword.
