Metallica has broken another record. Their “S&M2” concert film is now the biggest global rock event cinema release in history after raking in almost $6-million at the box office.
The band teamed up with the San Francisco Symphony for a second big “Symphony & Metallica” concert after the original event in 1999, celebrating the 20th anniversary of their GRAMMy-sinning “S&M” album. The second installment was made into a concert film that was screened at almost 4,000 theaters worldwide last week.
Since the movie has been such a big hit, another round of screenings has been announced for October 30th. Tickets are now on sale – check out where “S&M2” is screening near you HERE.
