Cheese lovers, this is the research we’ve been waiting for. A recent study from Ireland reveals that eating cheese doesn’t raise cholesterol and might even help you lose weight! And get this:
- Research shows people who eat more dairy typically have a lower body mass index.
- The study found that adults who ate large amounts of cheese did consume more saturated fat, but didn’t have the higher cholesterol that’s associated with it.
- So this goes against current health guidelines which suggest limiting saturated fats to keep cholesterol levels down, to avoid the increased risk of heart disease and stroke linked to high cholesterol.
This is great news for guys like me that were born in Wisconsin and consider beer and cheese part of the food pyramid...
