Ahhhh...summer storms. Rain, thunder, lightning. Unfortunately, that last one...lightning...doesn't play well with electronic equipment. Especially when it's a thousand feet in the air! We've got a tower crew up there now (they've gotta be pretty brave and NOT afraid of heights!) hoping to figure out exactly what is going on. Right now, it appears several sections of the line that runs from the transmitter building on the ground up the 1,000-foot tower are burned pretty bad, effectively shutting down our transmitter. We're currently operating on a spare transmitter on the old KRVR tower (Brady and Locust at Midtown)...but that's only 20,000 watts and it's only 200 feet in the air. HOPEFULLY, we can get this fixed within a week or so.
