Plant-based burgers seem to be all the rage these days, and McDonald’s is the latest chain to hop on the bandwagon. The fast food giant just announced that they’ll be testing a plant-based burger for their menu. The PLT will use Beyond Meat for their plant-based “beef,” and it will also have lettuce and tomato. “McDonald’s has a proud legacy of fun, delicious and craveable food — and now, we’re extending that to a test of a juicy, plant-based burger,” Ann Wahlgren, McDonald’s VP of global menu strategy, shares. “We’ve been working on our recipe and now we’re ready to hear feedback from our customers.” But while Burger King and White Castle already have Impossible Burger options on their menu, the Mickey D burger isn’t being rolled out so fast. It is first expected to be tested in only 28 locations in Ontario, Canada.
Hey...whatever. Just DON'T mess with the fries!! Plus...who goes to a fast food restaurant for HEALTHY food, anyways?!?
