Remember last Spring when we had a bad transmission line and had to broadcast at low power for about a month? Those of you who live in Sterling/Rock Falls, Dixon, Muscatine, and Clinton, complained we weren't coming in. Well...it happened again! But this time, we've got a better fix! Our transmission line burned up in a few sections Tuesday afternoon, forcing us to broadcast from our spare transmitter at the corner of Brady and Locust in Davenport (the old KRVR buidling and tower). After surveying the damage to our main transmission line, this time around we are REPLACING the entire line! We were able to fix sections of it the last two times, but that's obviously not working.
What does this mean for you? Well...if you're in the immediate Quad Cities, you'll be able to pick us up just fine in your car, although our sound may not have the "oomph" it usually does. If you're trying to listen in Sterling, Rock Falls, Galesburg, etc...you'll want to listen through our free iHeartRadio app...
