Rick Wills joined Foreigner for the "Head Games" album, and stayed for 14 years. He was once in a band with David Gilmour. And, you'll never guess who "guested" on Foreigner's "4" album...
Legendary bass player Rick Wills joined FOREIGNER for the Head Games album and his signature performances enhanced the biggest albums of the band’s stellar history. Early on in his career, Wills was tapped by David Gilmour to move to London where he got his auspicious start playing some of Europe’s top venues from Paris to Marbella. Wills teamed up with Peter Frampton following his departure from Humble Pie to form Frampton’s Camel. The first song Frampton and Wills wrote together was “Do You Feel Like We Do,” which is one of Frampton’s most well-known songs. Stints with Roxy Music and The Small Faces followed, until Wills connected with Mick Jones in New York, who had recently formed FOREIGNER. Rick remained with the band for its most successful tours and albums until leaving in 1992 to join Bad Company. And...you'll never guess who was a "guest performer" on the "4" album. HINT: You'll be "blinded" by this information... It's all in this episode of The Q106.5 Bonus Block...
