(From our news partner, KWQC-TV 6) The annual Lyrid meteor shower will peak this week and, thanks to a new moon, should be better than ususal. With the new moon, there won't be as much light pollution, which means you could see as many as 10-20 meteors per hour.
The peak time will be Tuesday night into Wednesday morning between midnight and 4am. All you will need to do is simply get away from city light, keep your social distance, and look up to the skies! And, since so many of us are working at home and can sleep in a little later than usual, the timing on this is perfect! Now, we just have to hope for clear skies...
