A Colorado man known only as “Joe B.” has officially cornered the market on luck for a little while. After playing the “same numbers for 30 years,” he finally hit the lottery jackpot by winning $1-million dollarstwice in the same day. His big wins came in the March 25thPowerball drawings.
For those unfamiliar, the Powerball format asks you to pick five numbers between 1 and 69, and one Powerball number between 1 and 26. Picking five numbers correctly without getting the Powerball number right scores you a $1-million prize. The day of his big win, the Colorado Lottery says Joe B. bought one ticket in the morning and another in the evening, playing the same five numbers, but missing on his Power Ball picks.
