Sad news, Hawkeye fans. And sad news for Cyclone fans, too. The annual CyHawk game, which was scheduled for September 12th at Kinnick Stadium has been canceled. The Big 10 Conference announced that all non-conference football games are being canceled for this year, in hopes of stemming the spread of COVID-19. This also means the games against Northern Iowa won't be played.
As a former Cyclone, I gotta admit that MOST games don't go the way I'd like. HOWEVER, in recent years, the games have been close and Iowa State has made a really good showing. Here's a pretty good history of the series, going back to 1977...
