Apple held their big "virtual" unveiling today at Noon. Yeah...I sat through it. I'm a gadget geek, so I love these kinds of things. Here's what you need to know about the new iPhone 12...
- Will now feature 5G. That won't do you much good till the providers have 5G here in the Quad Cities, but they're working on it…
- Ceramic Shield screen. They teamed up with Corning (you know, the dishware people)…it's virtually shatter-proof...
- A14 Bionic Chip. The fastest EVER in a smart phone…
- In to gaming? League of Legends…world's most popular computer game…is coming to iPhone! This is amped up with 5 G and the new Chip…
There's a mini version, iPhone 12, and iPhone 12 PRO. The iPhone Pro has 3 cameras, a 6.7" display, third zoom camera with 5x optical zoom…optical stabilization for shaky hands. At 6.7"...is it an iPad or a phone?!
Although it's hard not to applaud companies that are trying to be a little more environmentally smart. HOWEVER, this has me scratching my head. Apparently, they will no longer be shipping headphones and the charging cube with the phone. They said this will cut down on packaging, allowing them to include thousands more on each shipping crate...this, of course, means they can ship more product without affecting the environment. Um...so, does this mean I'll have to order a separate set of headphones...AND order a charging cube? Won't they be in their own separate boxes then shipped in different shipping crates?! Tell me again how this helps reduce their impact on the environment...?
Either way, I'm pretty excited about the new iPhone 12. They also announced the Apple Home Pod...
