Big news from our friends at KWQC-TV 6...Officials with the city of Davenport and the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce made a “major” announcement on Wednesday: An Amazon facility would be coming to Davenport and bringing 1,000 jobs with it!
“We are excited to continue our investment in the state of Iowa and look forward to creating 1,000 new, full-time jobs,” Amazon’s Regional PR Manager, Caitlin Polochak said. “The site will help us continue to serve customers with great delivery options. We appreciate the support from state and local leaders who have made Amazon’s growth in Iowa possible.”
The company announced it will build a 640k square-foot robotics fulfillment center in Davenport and it will create 1,000 new full-time jobs when operational. The center will be located on 158 acres in the Eastern Iowa Industrial Center along I-80.
