Midwest Ale Works is doing something cool to help out the East Moline Public Library...Books 'N Brews! It's a fundraiser that's going on this Thursday from 3:00pm - 9:00pm at the brewery in the Rust Belt. They've even got a beer that is PERFECT for a library...Dewey Decim-ALE! The festival will feature live music from the YoYos from 6pm to 8pm, there will be food available to purchase from Jennie's Boxcar, and a bunch of raffles. But, again...it's BEER...for a good cause...Books 'N Brews!
I love their "Dewey Decim-ALE" idea for a beer name. I've done a little home brewing, myself. My first beer was an Ale. My THEN 6-year-old daughter, Franki, helped me brew it, so we called it Mark & Franki's Manu-ALE. Great minds think alike, I guess...
