The national labor shortage could be hitting kids where it counts this Christmas season. A “professional Santa school” in Denver says they’re seeing 15% fewer Santas in the region. Add to that the fact that Santa demand is up 120% from previous years. The thought is that men who play Kris Kringle are, for the most part, overweight, which makes them at greater risk for possible infections. That, in turn, makes it harder to find age- and size-appropriate workers to take on the seasonal role.
Thankfully, your kids can still sit on Santa's lap at the Festival Of Trees. Santa tells us he's looking forward getting back to the River Center starting this weekend. And, even MORE important, Santa tells us that everything's a GO for Christmas eve and Christmas morning.
