Forgetting to empty his pockets almost cost a man in Spain his life. Security footage has gone viral of a man leaving a laundromat just moments before one of the dryers explodes and blows out the front window of the business. The incident is being blamed on a cigarette lighter that was left in a clothing pocket and tossed into the laundry.
Both butane and lithium-Ion batteries can reportedly ignite under certain circumstances, especially when mixed with the high temps inside a dryer. As for the man who narrowly escaped the explosion, many people commenting online agree that "he must have a guardian angel on his shoulder.”
Geez...and I get mad when my wife's LIPSTICK goes through the dryer......
