On Friday, March 31st, we were suffering the wrath of Mother Nature, including a tornado that went through Solon. Unfortunately, our broadcast tower is in Solon. Well, it was!
All 1,000 feet of metal and antennas were in a field after that storm blew thru. Currently, we have a little antenna set up in Cedar Rapids (the same tower that KKSY-FM and KOSY-FM broadast from), but we're only about 100 feet up and not a lot of wattage.
Our engineering team with working for a better temporary fix, which should make it so that if you're in Iowa City or Coralville, you can pick up 100.7 The Fox once again...until our brand new tower is complete. The PERMANENT antenna will take up to 2 years, though. Yay us!
